Where beauty begins
Buffaure is an easy entry point in Trentino to the famous Sellaronda circuit and to all the places connected to it (from the Gardena Valley to the Alpe di Siusi, from Badia valley to Arabba). It guarantees absolute fun on the slope -: five ski resorts connected to those of Ciampac /Alba di Canazei) for over 20 km of slopes which include tracks for all tastes. In addition to the many red runs, such as the much appreciated “Panorama”, there is the renowned “Vulcano” black run with a 38% gradient at its steepest points, a height difference of 566 meters and a total length of 2.5 km. It has always attracted skiers in search of a moment of pure adrenaline, even from far away.
And then consider that you will always be surrounded by the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites, from the Sella group, with its unmistakable Piz Boè, to Catinaccio, from Marmolada to the mythical Sassolungo and Sassopiatto : a breathtaking 360-degrees panorama.
The view becomes a perfect setting to make your first steps on the snow thanks to the blue slope and ski school area located at the arrival point of the Pozza- Buffaure cable car. Here three tapis roulant will allow even the less experienced to become familiar with skiing and snowboarding, independently or with the help of the instructors of the Ski school of Pozza di Fassa, between tunnels, obstacles and the ever- present silhouettes of the Salvan characters. And at the end of the run there is also a fun slope with bumps and a giant piano on the snow which can be played with skis on.
To complete our winter proposal we offer a range of fantastic services including : completely free parking at the cable car valley station and a heated ski room where you can leave your equipment after your day in the snow in order to find it dry the following day and enjoy a new, unforgettable skiing experience in total comfort.
Not to forget the 4 mountain huts open at high altitude that guarantee great food and wine or relaxation breaks to enjoy the view to the fullest: “Al Zedron”, “La Bolp”, “Rifugio Buffaure” and “Baita Cuz” with its beautiful newly renovated rooms. During the ski descent to Pozza the Soldanella restaurant and the “Dolomiten Geyser” are definitely worth a culinary stop too, the latter also as après ski.
