The slope of champions

NIGHT SKIING IN ALOCH

Would you like to experience the thrill of night skiing in the moonlight and quiet of nature? In Buffaure you can!

The Aloch slope hosts major international competitions such as the Ski World Cup and the European Alpine Ski Cup and constitutes a center of absolute excellence for the technical training of the National Alpine Ski teams. It is the only one in the whole Fassa valley that is open two nights a week so that the public can have a evokative and memorable experience.

On Wednesday and Friday evenings from 19:30 to 22:00 the flood – lighting system is put into operation and the 1018 meters long slope is at the disposal of skiers who want to compete with its daring slopes ranging from a minimum of 27% to a maximum of 49% with a total vertical drop of 320 meters.

After the so-called “muro dell’Aloch” (wall of the Aloch) you can decide to continue on the black run or take the red variant which is more approachable, but still challenging.

It can be reached by taking the three-seater lift that leaves from the hamlet of Meida di Pozza di Fassa. It is facing north and is classified as medium/difficult. Therefore a certain technical ability and attention are required as well as proper equipment.

To ensure the highest level of training and the same track conditions for all the skiers water is injected into the bottom of the track so as to make it more compact.

A real challenge that will make you appreciate the enchanted atmosphere of the Buffaure from another point of view and make you feel, at least for one night, a true champion.

The price for the pass for the night skiing in Aloch is 26,00€. It is included nei multi-day Dolomiti Superski ticket, Skipass Val di Fassa and in the  skipass Valle Silver.
