Old fashioned rhythms

At 1878 m. reachable on foot from the basin of Buffaure if you follow path 643 or from the village Pera di Fassa there is a cheese lovers’ paradise: Malga Jumela alpine hut! Here Signora Lucia together with her large family will introduce you to the production of cheese, from milking to cheese making through guided tours and educational workshops which obviously will end with an appreciated tasting. And since appetite comes with eating, you can also stop for lunch with typical and genuine dishes, such as nettle spätzle on cheese fondue and diced pears, venison stew or tosela ( grilled fresh cheese) to be enjoyed both inside and at the tables outside.
