Magical route, off the beaten-path even in high season. When the Fassa valley is teeming with tourists you can enjoy this place in almost complete solitude. From Sella Brunech ( previous entry) follow the signs for the Crepa Neigra, and then turn towards Col Aut. From here, continue on to Col Bel: when you arrive, you will understand why it is called Col Bel. When you reach your destination, go back along the same route, or descend to Malga Jumela and then ascend to the Buffaure basin. Alternatively, you can go as far as the Jumela Cross, and then reach Malga Jumela and, finally, the Buffaure. For those who wish to do so, every Saturday in July and August there is the accompanied hike “Ring of Col Bel”.
In a short time you will arrive at the Aut, the highest peak of the route ( 2490 m ) and then at Col Bel (2436 m). Following the left ridge you will easily reach Malga Jumela- alpine hut and then Pozza di Fassa. Hiking time: 5 hours
