If you are a child, Buffaure is the right place for you. We’ve come up with plenty of suggestions just to make your mountain experience the most incredible one!
When you reach the top with the cable lift, look around: a huge play area is waiting for you! Enjoy it, while mum and dad relax in the sun. There are a slide in the shape of a volcano, a balance trail on wooden logs, water games and a raft pond that you will have to cross without being captured by witches. And then there are also giant wooden games, you will be spoilt for choice.
If you are a curious child and want to find out how these beautiful mountains were formed, walk along the Forgotten Path. If, on the other hand, you are a nature and animal lover, you can try the Forest of Emotions. But that’s not all. You can reach King Laurin’s castle and its giant thrones, sit on benches in the shape of dragons or with butterfly wings and, if you are brave, get close to the mythical giant bregostana, the pack of wolves, or tackle the wooden labyrinth that hides exciting surprises.
Not forgetting the rich calendar of weekly activities in which you can participate!
In this 400-square-metre labyrinth with high wooden walls hides Buffy, a cute baby rabbit born in Buffaure who has found shelter here. Head towards the centre of the labyrinth to meet him: along the way you will find three niches to discover, with optical effects, wall games and photo shoots to make your head spin. Where? Right in front of the Buffaure Refuge, just a few minutes from the arrival of the cable lift..
How many shapes can wood take? Discover it on an easy two-hour walk, during which you will meet a majestic eagle with giant wings, a pack of five wolves and the mysterious Bregostana, the witch who populates the forests and local legends. Very special places along the trail await you, including maxi loungers, a panoramic bench in the shape of a butterfly, a bench in the shape of a dragon and King Laurin’s thrones overlooking the valley.
A “Forest of Emotions” is a very easy ring route that allows you to observe very realistic reproductions of the most common animals of the area: deer, roes, a series of birds such as woodpeckers, magpies and owls and also red foxes, hares, squirrels, marmots and badgers. Next to each of them there is an information panel that allows children to learn something while having fun.
